Here’s a brief update regarding ongoing activity around Blossom Street. We hope you find this update helpful but please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
Additional utility trench works
Following on from our update in May, from 18th September until end October we will be undertaking further utility trenches on roads around the site to establish what utilities are situated under the roads and pavements. These works will be similar to the utility trench works we have undertaken previously along Fleur De Lis Passage and Fleur De Lis Street. To do this, we will have to temporarily close Elder Street, Blossom Street and Folgate Street whilst the works to these highways are undertaken.
As with the previous set of trenches, the purpose of these investigation works is to accurately establish and locate the existing services which run along and through the site. A total of 12 trenches will need to be dug around the site, which will be undertaken by a specialist excavation crew. The locations of the trenches we will be digging are indicatively shown in the map below.
As with the previous works, we will be restoring each trench to their original condition at the end of each working day. Work will take place between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday. If Saturday working is required, work will take place between 9am and 1pm we will aim to keep disruption to a minimum.
If you have any other questions about the project or would like to speak to someone from our team, please feel free to get in touch.
