As you will be aware from our last update site, works temporarily stopped for 2 weeks from 30th March.  During this time security has remained in place and regular visits have been carried out by some construction personnel to carry out routine and necessary checks.

Cantillon, our main contractor, has now identified key works that they are confident can take place in accordance with the Construction Leadership Council’s new Site Operating Procedures. These incorporate the PHE guidelines and are specifically designed for construction sites.

We note the Government’s updated guidance of 7 April, stating that sites can operate in accordance with social distancing guidelines. We have Cantillon’s commitment that their proposals are aligned to these principles and therefore from Tuesday 14th April 2020 there will be an increased presence on site from some of the Cantillon team who are working to prepare the site ready for some elements of the works to restart.

To further protect those who are able to return to work, Cantillon are encouraging their own colleagues and sub-contractors to travel to the site without using public transport, and are making car and bike parking available for workers driving or cycling to the site.

Work is being planned carefully to ensure compliance with PHE guidelines. We take our responsibility to those who work on our developments seriously and will actively monitor how these plans work in practice. We will keep this situation under daily review and take further action if necessary.

The wider project team are all working from home and continue to be available via the email address and phone number below should you have any queries about the works carried out to date or work that is planned to happen over the next few months.
