Here’s a brief update regarding activity around Blossom Street. We hope you find this update helpful but please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Out of hours delivery and erection of two tower cranes on 28th, 29th 30th and 31st August from 5:00am

We are planning to erect the second and third site tower cranes over the Summer Bank Holiday. We will be installing both tower cranes on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th August 2020. This is a significant logistical operation that will require us to access the site via Elder Street.

We have been directed by the local authorities and advised by the police to deliver these loads either early morning or evenings due to vehicle size. TfL have been notified of the planned works and we have made the necessary precautions to ensure there will be minimal impact to local residents.

The operation will require the early delivery and set up of a large mobile crane and all supporting equipment on Friday 28th August between the hours of 5:00am to 8:00am where delivery of the first abnormal loads will need to take place under special movement order conditions. These works will continue until 10:00pm so that the mobile crane is operational to commence erecting the tower cranes.

Erection of the tower cranes will commence from 5:00am to 10:00pm on Saturday 29th August and will continue throughout Sunday 30th August from 6:00am to 10:00pm. The final phase to de-rig and remove the attendant mobile crane will occur on Monday 31st August between 6:30am and 6:00pm. To ensure that operations are concluded as quickly and quietly as possible, with the minimum of disturbance, the delivery of the supporting equipment will be attended by our trained site team. All relevant permits, licenses and movement orders are in place.

We will endeavour to complete the above works in advance of the times given above if possible. If for any reason the operation needs to be deferred, we have identified backup weekends.
