Here’s a brief update regarding activity around Blossom Street. We hope you find this update helpful but please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
Blossom Street: Update on site working hours 2021
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it remains necessary for us to stagger the working hours of construction workers on site to ensure that government guidance around social distancing is followed both at work, and when travelling to and from the site via public transport. As such, we have had to extend our normal site working hours [previously Mon-Fri 7am-7pm and Saturday 8am-2pm] in order to ensure that those working on site can arrive as safely as possible by avoiding peak travel times. This is also essential for us to maintain social distancing in communal areas onsite, for example in changing rooms and in the canteen area. The additional working hours of 2pm – 6pm on Saturday are to allow the site workforce to fulfil their full weekly working hours, as they may have had to work reduced hours during the week as a result of COVID-19 travel restrictions.
As such, from now until the 30th April 2021, site working hours will be as follows:
• Monday to Friday: 7am until 7pm
• Saturday: 7am until 6pm
We are currently looking to extend weekday hours until 8pm, however, we will notify you if this is approved. We appreciate that this may cause some inconvenience for you as local residents, and therefore any works carried out outside of the current working hours will be non-noisy works, and all staff have been briefed to ensure that noise is kept to a minimum within these hours. We appreciate your cooperation during these times and encourage you to get in contact if you have any concerns or queries, using our project email address firstname.lastname@example.org.
Weekend works: Saturday 30th April 2021
Works this weekend will include the installation of new temporary electrical cables to provide further electricity to the new buildings plots under construction. These works will be carried out inside the site boundary, on Fleur De Lis Street. We aim to complete the cabling works from Fleur De Lis Street into 6-8 Elder Street between 8:00 am and 1:00pm. From 1:00pm to 4:00pm works on the installation will continue inside the project offices in the Loom Court building.
As always, members of the project team are available via the email address and phone number below should you have any queries about the works carried out to date, or work that is planned to take place over the next few months. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries via:
