Here’s a brief update regarding activity around Blossom Street. We hope you find this update helpful but please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
Further to testing carried out last week, we are planning to continue fire alarm testing in building S1, between 18.00 and 20.00, on Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th July. We can confirm that any externally mounted sounders will be isolated during these tests.
We are having to carry out these tests out of hours for the following reasons:
- Health and Safety – Internal audibility levels are more than those permitted for normal working, which could affect others not involved in the activity.
- To avoid confusion between the test and an actual fire alarm. This is to prevent false evacuations of the building which would result in high volumes of people congregating at muster points external to the site.
